Headspace Gauge Interchangeability
Many headspace gauges,
particularly those in the rimmed or belted calibers, are
interchangeable. If you order gauges for a 375 Winchester, we will send
you a 30-30 WCF gauge and note on the invoice that the 375 Winchester
uses 30-30 gauges. Belted cartridges having a .535" belt (example 7MM
Rem Mag, 300 Win Mag, 300 Wby) generally use gauges having common
dimensions. If you order gauges for one of these calibers, the invoice
will read ... "uses std. Belted gauges."
For your reference, we offer this headspace gauge interchangeability
list for our standard calibers. Those standard calibers not given here
have their own unique gauges and are not interchangeable with other
calibers. (Ask for a free adhesive-backed chart for your tool box with
your next order.)
